Kirk Johnson, our friend behind the fur, is a 4-time
All-American gymnast from Arizona State University.
Kirk landed with the Atlanta Hawks in the fall of 1997
to perform as the acrobatic mascot SkyHawk. During his
tenure with the Hawks, Kirk performed at over 1000 home
games, 1000 school shows, hundreds of parades, churches
and community events on 3 different continents. Hawks’
fans quickly learned of his amazing athletic ability
through his slam dunk routines coupled with his crazy
tumbling and silly antics. He became the go-to act
during the “hot” timeouts of closely contested games.
Despite his growing popularity, Kirk never lost his
passion for personal interaction with fans. His
constant crowd surfing and one-on-one interaction became
his calling card. |

Connie Johnson, the brains and beauty of the operation,
is an avid iron girl. Between her triathlons, soccer
games, and the occasional half/full marathon, Connie loves to
invest in the lives of children. Six years as a
physical education teacher along with 13 additional
years of childcare indicate her passion for tomorrow’s
generation. |

The Lord introduced the couple in January of 2006. They
wed on June 11, 2007 and so began the adventure!

As followers of Jesus Christ, it is our mission to “Love
your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39) and “spur one
another on toward love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24).
This is the driving force behind our school and church
shows. Whether we’re encouraging children to read,
challenging students to soar above the CRCT, or teaching
youth to become all God wants them to be, we fulfill our
mission in a way that captures the attention of young
and old. We would love to be a part of your event and
meet you in person. It takes “Guts” to succeed in
today’s world and Gutsy is the canine for the job!
